With a rich history of personal achievements and a deep understanding of martial arts, Senior Master Alejandro laid the foundation for the CFTP system many years ago.

Early Years and Development

In his early years in South America, Senior Master Alejandro Pereira studied various martial arts disciplines and became a member of several esteemed martial arts associations, including the International Taekwondo Federation (I.T.F.), World Taekwondo Federation (W.T.F.), American Taekwondo Association (A.T.A.), and United World Taekwondo Association (U.W.T.A.). This exposure to diverse styles and philosophies contributed to the development of his unique and well-rounded approach to Taekwondo.

The Birth of CFTP Taekwondo
Armed with a wealth of knowledge and experience, Senior Master Alejandro Pereira founded the Canadian Family Taekwondo Programs (CFTP). Drawing from traditional Taekwondo, he enriched the system with his broad expertise—integrating sparring, forms, weapons, one-step sparring, and self-defense techniques. The result was a comprehensive and balanced curriculum, accessible to practitioners of all ages and skill levels.


Expansion and Innovation
In 1987, CFTP officially specialized in martial arts, marking the beginning of its journey as a respected martial arts institution. Over the years, CFTP has evolved into one of the most innovative programs in the world, continually exploring new ways to enhance the training experience for its members.
